How to make a paper boat

If you plan to place the boat in a pail of water or even in the bathtub, it is convenient to use thick paper sheets or bristol boards to avoid your handiwork to become spoiled quickly when it gets wet.
Although it is not necessary to forget that the paper ships are not made to last many years inside water."

 

 

 

We begin marking the center of a squared sheet of paper with diagonal folds .

 

 

Then, fold the leaf by the middle and carry out a fold in each side of the divided sheet - just as it is observed in the figure.
Bring areas A and B to the center.

 

 

 

Carry out 2 folds joining the area A and B at the center of the sheet.

 

 

 

Having marked the lines, open the folds made in the previous step.

 

 

 

Fold along the line of dots -observe the image.

 

 

 

Unfold the previous fold.

 

 

 

Repeat the previous operation, but this time bend towards the other side.

 

 

Just as we have made before, open again the fold previously made.

These steps will make the final processes easier.

 

We proceed to carry out four folds in the corners - Keep in mind to make a 45 degrees angle.
This means that corners A and B will go towards C. We will repeat the same procedure for the inferior corners.

 

 

 

Open the folds carried out in the previous step.

 

 

If the folds have been carried out correctly the object will show the folds depicted in the image -observe the discontinuous lines of the picture.

Attention: The steps 5-8 have been omitted in the videotape. Although the final result of the figure doesn't change if they have been marked previously in the paper.
